It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Verena Rae Jerome on October 2nd, 2024, at the age of 43.
She leaves behind to grieve her beloved mother Linda Dumont and her cherished children Jacques and Shongnessy.
She is also predeceased by her father John Jerome and a younger beloved brother Wynston Kisis. Her love will forever live in the hearts of her many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A catholic wake will take place from Tuesday October 8 at 11h30 am to Wednesday October 9, at 11h30 am, at the Kitigan zibi funeral parlour, followed by a mass at 12h30 at the Holy Rosary church. Interment will follow at the Kitigan Zibi cemetery.
A special message of appreciation and gratitude, for the great care and Compassion she received from the medical staff in the palliative unit at the Maniwaki hospital.

I want to express my deepest condolences to my old friend's family. Verena and I were close in highschool and I've always regretted losing touch with her. She had a larger than life personality, she was a great actress, she made me laugh. Such a character. I think it was in secondary 1 when she tried to convince us that her real name was Juanita and she almost had me going at one point!
Rest in peace old friend, and all my love to her family. I'll remember her always.
