MAASS (NÉE IBBOTSON), Mary Elgar
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our mother, Mary, in Saint-Agathe-des-Monts, Québec, at the age of 92.
Mary was predeceased by her loving husband Colin Francis Otto Maass. She was also predeceased by her parents Mathew Gault Ibbotson and Ruth Elgar Copeland and by her beloved brother Ivan M.G. Ibbotson (Edna Joan Payson) and their son David I.M. Ibbotson.
She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Deborah (Mitch), Diane, Susan and seven grandchildren-Michael, David (Janet), Diana (Colin), Chantal, Hunter, George, Kayla, and ten great grandchildren-Maxine, Éliane, Jax, Grace, Nicholas, Gregory, Bennett, Joey, Jameel, Jay as well as her niece Kimberly Ruth (Ibbotson) MacAskill (Ken) and friends far and wide.
Mum was especially very proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary’s quick wit and infectious smile always put others in a good mood. She excelled in many sports, loved bridge, volunteer work and she had a huge circle of friends in Montreal, Toronto and St. Adolphe. A part of us is missing, but she will live forever in our hearts.
A celebration of her life will be arranged at a later date.
