Coenraad van Hilst
In het CISSS des Laurentides - CHSLD des Hauteurs is op 14 juli 2025 op 93-jarige leeftijd overleden de heer Coenraad Bato van Hilst, zoon van wijlen Fredricus Wilhelmus van Hilst en wijlen Theodora Johanna Bijleveld; echtgenoot van Catharina Alberdina Bakkeren.
De heer van Hilst was afkomstig uit Amsterdam, Nederland. Hij bracht het grootste deel van zijn leven door in Amstelveen.
Hij was een religieus, hardwerkend, autodidactisch, sociaal, vastberaden en trots man. Hij begon zijn carrière als verkoper en nam vervolgens samen met zijn vrouw Catharina het bedrijf van zijn vader over. Hij was gespecialiseerd in het leggen van vloerbedekking. Hij was handig en bleef na zijn pensionering in Canada parttime werken in de renovatiebranche.
In 1966 emigreerde hij met zijn vrouw en twee kinderen naar Australië, waar hij tot 1970 woonde, voordat hij terugkeerde naar Nederland. In 1998 emigreerde hij met zijn vrouw naar Canada waar hun dochter Esther al sinds 20 jaar woonde.
De heer Van Hilst werd in de eeuwige rust voorafgegaan door zijn zussen Johanna van Hulsen-van Hilst en Cornelia Pinksterboer-van Hilst (Fred).
Naast zijn vrouw laat de heer Van Hilst zijn kinderen achter: Frederik Wilhelm van Hilst en Esther van Hilst (René); zijn kleinkinderen: Stefan Lebel (Sara), Julien Lebel, Guillaume Lebel (Maëlle), Catherine Lebel (Olivier) en David Lebel (Alexandra); en zijn achterkleinkinderen: Alexi Lebel, Charlotte Lebel-Angrignon, Livia Lebel en Romy Lebel-Angrignon. Hij laat ook Raynald Lebel achter, de vader van zijn kleinkinderen; zijn neven en nichten; zijn neven en nichten; en vele familieleden en vrienden.
Overeenkomstig de wens van de heer Van Hilst zal de herdenking in besloten kring plaatsvinden met de naaste familie.
De familie van Coenraad wil het verplegend personeel van het CHSLD des Hauteurs in Ste-Adèle, Qc bedanken voor hun goede zorg en toewijding.
De begrafenisonderneming Coopérative funéraire Brunet, gelegen aan de Rue Saint-Bruno 36 in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, betuigt haar oprechte medeleven aan de getroffen familie.

Alberdina Bakkeren, passed away at the age of 93 years and 2 months.
Mr. van Hilst was a native of the Netherlands, more precisely of Amsterdam. He spent most of his life in
Amstelveen.
He was a religious man, hard-working, self-taught, sociable, determined and proud. He began his career as
a salesman, and later took over his father’s business with his wife Catharina. He specialized in installing floor coverings. Skilled with his hands, he continued to work part-time in renovation following his retirement in Canada.
He emigrated to Australia with his wife and two children in 1966, where he lived until 1970, before returning to the Netherlands. He then emigrated to Canada in 1998 with his wife to join their daughter Esther.
Mr. van Hilst was predeceased by his sisters Johanna van Hulsen-van Hilst and Cornelia Pinksterboer-van
Hilst (Fred).
In addition to his wife, Mr. van Hilst is survived by his children: Frederik Wilhelm van Hilst and Esther van
Hilst (René); his grandchildren: Stefan Lebel (Sara), Julien Lebel, Guillaume Lebel (Maëlle), Catherine Lebel
(Olivier) and David Lebel (Alexandra); and great-grandchildren: Alexi Lebel, Charlotte Lebel-Angrignon, Livia Lebel and Romy Lebel-Angrignon. He also leaves Raynald Lebel, the father of his grandchildren; his
nephews and nieces; his cousins; and many relatives and friends.
According to Mr. van Hilst’s wishes, the celebration of life will be held in private with the immediate family.
Coenraad’s family wishes to thank the caregivers at the CHSLD des Hauteurs in Ste-Adèle, Qc, for their
care and devotion.

Au CISSS des Laurentides - CHSLD des Hauteurs, le 14 juillet 2025, est décédé à l'âge de 93 ans et 2 mois M. Coenraad Bato van Hilst, fils de feu Fredricus Wilhelmus van Hilst et de feu Theodora Johanna Bijleveld; époux de Catharina Alberdina Bakkeren.
M. van Hilst était natif des Pays-Bas, plus précisément d’Amsterdam. Il a passé la majeure partie de sa vie à Amstelveen.
C’était un homme réligieux, travailleur, autodidacte, sociable, déterminé et fier. Il a commencé sa carrière comme vendeur, et ensuite il a repris le commerce de son père avec son épouse Catharina. Il était spécialisé dans l’installation de couvre-planchers. Habile de ses mains, il a continué à travailler à temps partiel en rénovation suite à sa retraite au Canada.
Il a émigré en Australie avec son épouse et ses deux enfants en 1966, où il a vécu jusqu’en 1970, avant de revenir aux Pays-Bas. Il a ensuite émigré au Canada en 1998 avec son épouse pour rejoindre leur fille Esther.
M. van Hilst fut précédé dans le repos éternel par ses sœurs Johanna van Hulsen-van Hilst et Cornelia Pinksterboer-van Hilst (Fred).
Outre son épouse, M. van Hilst laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Frederik Wilhelm van Hilst et Esther van Hilst (René); ses petits-enfants: Stefan Lebel (Sara), Julien Lebel, Guillaume Lebel (Maëlle), Catherine Lebel (Olivier) et David Lebel (Alexandra); ainsi que ses arrière-petits-enfants: Alexi Lebel, Charlotte Lebel-Angrignon, Livia Lebel et Romy Lebel-Angrignon. Il quitte également Raynald Lebel, le père de ses petits-enfants; ses neveux et nièces; ses cousins et cousines; ainsi que plusieurs parents et amis.
Selon les volontés de M. van Hilst, la célébration de vie se fera en privé avec la famille immédiate.
La famille de Coenraad souhaite remercier les intervenants du CHSLD des Hauteurs à Ste-Adèle, Qc pour leurs bons soins prodigués et leur dévouement.
